Happiness During Chaos

I had two crazy midterms these past two days (I spent four hours in the testing center all together). And as stressed as I was (and still feel like I should be), Conference weekend made everything better.

Salt Lake Temple. Conference Center. Four canoodling couples behind the temple. Pretty flowers and my handsome :)

Landon's lovely mother gave us tickets, so we got to go Sunday afternoon. It's such a testimony builder to me that we have a living prophet and his apostles to guide us through the chaos that is our world today. And literally, its chaotic. I keep seeing all these terrible news articles about bullied teens, boyfriends beating up their girlfriends, people tell other people to "go die" because of their political beliefs, fatal unrest over "offensive" movies...where does all this madness end? Sometimes I get so caught up in all this badness that I just give up hope for a better society. But then there comes our leaders, our "mouth pieces of the Lord", who remind us that the nothing is going to stop the Lord's work. Nothing is going to stand in the gospel's way of spreading throughout the world, into every country, into every city and into everyone's hearts and minds. No, not everyone will accept the message. No, people won't stop killing other people until the Lord comes again. But the message of the gospel has significantly impacted my life by making me more optimistic and hopeful for a better future. I know I have a purpose, will (and do) have immense happiness, and will always have eternal love from Heavenly Father no matter what is going on in the world and no matter what you are going through. And I know that's what it can do for everyone else.
