Oh boy, this one will be interesting. Well, I was raised by my Dad, Bill (aka. Billy, Bones, Fasha (father was shhh)). He works super hard, he had his hands full raising two girls but we turned out pretty good if I do say so myself. He's worked with ice cream his whole life, driving a truck around and delivering it. Now he owns his own business doing that which is doing amazing and growing everyday. I wish he would date someone but he claims he's too busy. He's kind of quiet and shy around people he doesn't know, he doesn't really like big groups, he's OBSESSED with golf (he would miss my wedding if he had a golf tournament, I guarantee that!), doesn't look like he's in his fifties (when he shaves, cute little baby face), loves the color blue and always asks for advice on what to wear. My favorite thing about him is that he came to almost every single one of my soccer/swim/water polo/whateversportiwasdoingatthetime games and was always the loudest one cheering for me.
As for my Mom, she wasn't around to raise me. We've started forming a better relationship the last year though, she texts me cute things all the time and we chat on the phone a lot. She's really supportive of my being a member of the Church and asks questions about it, she encourages me with whatever I put my mind to and is always reminding me she's here for me now even though she didn't use to be. I haven't seen her for almost two years but hopefully I can get out to Colorado and see her and her side of the family soon! I miss them a lot. This is pic from forever ago but its the only one I have! That's me as a cute squishy baby :)
And its kind of funny how my Mom and Dad met. My Dad's sister was dating my Mom's brother for a while, so they met through them and knew each other for a few years. Then they broke up and I guess my parents decided it was okay to date then. A year later they got married, then I came around a year after that!
I think I'm a mix as to who I look like more, but I probably act more like my Dad since I've always lived with him. But my mom's side of the family is hilarious so I get my jokes from them. And my Dad is stubborn and strong-willed as heck so I get that from him.
I'm grateful for my parents and even though we've had more downs together than ups in our life, I love them without a doubt and know they love me too.
