This weekend was packed with fun activities and an extra spiritual sabbath day. Saturday my roommates and some friends went the Festival of Colors (if you didn't already know that by the thousands of Facebook pics) and had a blast. You kind of got to go back to your childhood roots and get dirty, except getting covered in colored chalk is way more fun than mud. And its just like a giant party being there, but we didn't stick around to enjoy the bands or crowd surf. Then I wrote a research paper...super fun! Just kidding. I really am grateful for the HBLL Library on campus though, its a great environment to study and be productive. That night I had a fun date to SLC to visit the new City Creek shopping center the Church built right next to the temple. Its hands down the nicest mall I've ever been too! It had live music everywhere, a fire-y water fountain, and a nice little creek running through the whole thing. We also walked around the temple, talked for days and were exhausted by the time we got home.
Then Sunday I felt the Spirit in every meeting! I taught the lesson second hour and it went well, I used a couple MormonMessages because they are just so well made. And the rest of the day was dedicated to eating, hanging out and finishing that research paper...at 3am..oops.
This week is super busy, but I feel so ready to take it on! Life is so great right now, I'm grateful to be blessed with happiness as the most stressful time of school begins.
