By Request

I got reprimanded publicly on facebook for not updating my blog soooo here goes a scatter-brained post because I don't really know what to write about!:

I quit my job. I was really grateful to have it, but I didn't want to be stuck somewhere for the entire summer that I didn't enjoy going to. I love the people though!!! Definitely didn't have anything to do with them. I really wanted to be dramatic and stand up in the middle of the day and yell "I quit!" and storm out...but I did it the professional way. And good thing I did because our manager told me if I needed a job in Provo he could hook me up. Scooore.

I'm debating moving back to Provo. and I should be making a decision like, this week. And then leaving like, next week. It was good to be home for a while, but Utah really feels like my home now. I know, weird right? Plus, I can 1) Be closer to Landon (hallelujah!) and 2) I get to work with my basketball boys again. I seriously might miss them more than Landon..just kiddin' :) Before I move though, Landon is coming here on Thursday! Yay! Longest three weeks of my life without him, ha. Call me a love sick puppy I guess.

Ummm, I'm getting stuff together to have a yard sale next weekend! I need to make some mullah for school and at the same time I want to de-clutter the house...so ya! I'm really excited to make signs more than anything...and to make some funny, witty ad on craigslist.

My ankle is still killing me. BUT I started working out again, just not doing anything that involves jumping. I'm s-o-r-e today, holy cow. This injury is gonna take FOR-EV-ER to heals.

I've been a cooking fiend lately. And its all thanks to a crock pot. Ya, I know, only married people who get gifted six crock pots actually use them. But we had three sitting in our garage from the swim team snack bar so I snagged one, looked up some recipes and BOOM! I don't think I've received this many compliments from my dad in my entire life as I have the last two weeks. Happy tummy=happy dad. So, if you have a crock pot and haven't used it yet, shame on you! Its so stinkin' easy to just throw stuff in there for 4-8 hours, and it just makes itself delicious. I'll just give you a taste (ha, pun) and some links to wonderfully delicious recipes I've used so far: Chicken Caesar Sandwiches (holy crap, probably my favorite so far), Shredded Barbecue Beef, and then this other chicken recipe where I just threw some things in the pot. And my dad wouldn't stop talking about how good it was the entire rest of the night.

My group from high school finally had a "furious five reunion". And then a couple days later four of us went to Santa Cruz. I love these people SO much! Theres just something about getting together with people you've known for almost a decade that makes you happy :)

  1. Yes! Welcome back to the blogging world!

I love cooking with my crock-pot. Or crocky, as I call her. It's awesome that you're using one. Great practice for when you get married (which I am assuming will be in about 4 months...!)
