Something crafty (finally!)
Thank youuu Pinterest. I've been wanting a bright neon necklace for a while (<--- like those), but didn't want to drop the $$$. So, this blogger makes her own with a cheap(ish) necklace and nail polish. I was at forever 21 and found a cute necklace in black for only $9! Uh scooore! And then I went through the internal battle of all internal battles...Neon Pink or Mint colored? I eventually went with pink ($2) because everyone and their mother is wearing mint these days (not that its not SUPER cute, I just don't like following trends). Anyways, here's the starting pic (ignore how grainy and crap the quality is, ha):
So it took me four coats to cover up the black...didn't really think about how hard that would be to cover when I bought it. ANYWAYS, so then I let it dry over night and today I just put one coat of clear polish on, cleaned up some smudges and ta-da:
I'm so excited to wear it! And even though this took a while to paint, I like that I can change the color. I might wear it with this lace dress I just bought:
Oh, and I also bleached a pair of grey jeans and dyed them lavender. So I finally have some colored jeans! I'm also currently doing the same to another pair, but dying them coral :) And the first pair of jeans only cost me $7 total, and this pair only $3! I love DIY stuff!!!!
