Married Life

I was waiting to get a wedding photo (from our wonderful photographer Jessica McAllister) before I updated. So here we go!

Our wedding day was perfect and wonderful. It was raining, but stopped the whole time we needed to get pictures done. But it was still freezing and when you zoom in really close to some of the pictures you can see goosebumps on my arms. The reception looked SO GOOD in Paragonah and its all thanks to Landon's wonderful mom, people in his town and our wonderful friends who helped set up. And I was SO happy some family of mine came from Colorado to be there that day. Our honeymoon was great too, Lake Tahoe is beautiful no matter what time of year it is. We went snowboarding at Sierra one day and Landon is so good at snowboarding! I was very impressed, he's way better than me. I feel like this break has been an extended honeymoon too since we've been sleeping in late, watching movies like no other and just being lazy. I'm so sad school starts Monday!

Adjusting to married life has been a piece of cake too. In our marriage prep class last semester our teacher kept saying how hard it would be, like not sleeping because you need to get use to someone there or having difficulty splitting up chores. But in fact, I've been sleeping like a baby and as long as you put the other person before you the chores get done without a problem :) The only thing we don't agree on is what to have for breakfast and which tooth paste to buy since we both don't like the kind the other has. Weird, I know. Our house is freezing all the time, but its clean and we're grateful to have a roof over our heads. I want to decorate it and make it cute, but I may just wait until we live somewhere nicer...

Anyways that's basically life these days. My hubby is amazing and I'm so happy he's mine forever! I swear I'll be better at updating now that my life is a little more orderly. Here's a picture (If you click, it makes it a little bigger), happy new years my friends!

  1. Adrian keeps telling me how he can't believe you got baptized and now you're married!

I am so happy for you, and it sounds like you and your husband are happy and enjoying the married life.

    Congrats! :)

  2. Austin and I disagree on toothpaste too! and how to squeeze it. We figured out early on that sharing toothpaste just wasn't going to work for us. We're now a Colgate AND Crest family. :) So glad you're loving married life.

P.S. Don't be afraid to decorate, it will make the place feel like your own home.
